But NOOOOOOO - By Susan R. Stoltz

You’d think getting a book published is the last step in the process and that the money would start rolling in. BUT NOOOOOOO…

Now comes the tough part. How do you get people to actually buy it? It’s available on my website and on Amazon, http://www.amazon.com/Part-Time-Thief-Other-Appraisal-Stories/dp/1453802509/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1289230717&sr=8-1, but how do you actually get people to buy it? Good interviews are a start, good reviews also help. But since publishers do very little to actually ‘publicize’ a book, which I find rather odd, it falls to the author to do as much as he or she can to get interested readers to make a purchase.

I’m now exploring all those avenues and options. An on-line presence is good and my Webmaster has done a great job of that for me. A book club has chosen my book for this month’s read, and that’s exciting. I have some signings coming up at various libraries, and although these are really nice opportunities I’m still looking for a unique way to get my work out there to be seen!

Every author has been through this process, even the big time best-selling authors were once unknown. It’s an age-old problem that needs some new and innovative answers!

Anybody got any bright ideas?
