Chapter 2. - Charging Bison

The Part-Time Thief - Charging Bison

I ran my measure wheel down the long side and around the corner before coming face to face with two enormous bison. The largest was only about six yards in front of me.

For those of you who don’t know, the bison is the largest species of cattle in the world, surpassed only by the wild Asian water buffalo, both are known for being particularly cantankerous, and they can loom over six feet tall and weigh up to 2,200 pounds.   They also can run thirty-five miles an hour.

And here I was. Face to face with two of them, and from what I could tell, neither was happy that I’d come whizzing around the corner waving my measure wheel.
